If Eugene is Elected, What Will He Prioritize in Trenton?

Affordability

As a working parent to young children, Eugene and his family understand how expensive it is to juggle renting, saving for a first home, and finding safe and affordable childcare so both parents can return to work while making sure the kids are in a safe learning environment. As a state assemblyman, Eugene’s #1 priority is affordable childcare.

Transparency

When your state representative casts a vote, you deserve to know who they’re thinking about. Is it you, or their bottom line? Eugene will prioritize transparency in the budgeting process. As a candidate for office, Eugene is not accepting money from corporations or special interests - only people.

Infrastructure

This area needs a representative who will bring money back and champion investments in our future. Eugene will push for investment in infrastructure, including broadband and green energy power. Green energy means jobs and affordability. Eugene will also strive to improve the roads while preserving our green spaces.

Compassion and Respect

As an immigrant and a member of a religious minority, he understands the importance of respect for all of our neighbors. As someone who has taken an oath to uphold the Constitution, this includes respect for due process, for equal rights, and for the right to privacy. Eugene will keep the government out of your business and defend the humanity of our vibrant communities.

Schools

There’s a reason people move here for the schools. As a proud product of New Jersey public schools and a father raising two children, Eugene wants to make sure that teachers have what they need to keep New Jersey schools the best in the country. Eugene will stand up to extremist candidates pushing book bans, fomenting fear and misinformation, and fighting culture wars on our school campuses. Let our teachers teach.

Housing

It’s no surprise that everyone wants to live here (New Jersey is the greatest state in the country). But too many people who grew up here can’t afford to stay. The only solution is to build more housing and anything less is either wrong or a lie. However, it only makes sense to build where infrastructure exists to support it. Eugene will incentivize building only where it makes sense, like near public transit hubs. Eugene will oppose any unfunded state mandates to build where no infrastructure exists.
